Simply rub a good quantity of salt on the fish (try as much as you can to make sure the salt touches all areas on the fish skin), set aside for 10-15 minutes, rinse fish thoroughly in water ( preferably running water). The slime should come off easily as you rinse. For any spots left with slime, just repeat the process, you don’t need to wait for up to 15 minutes this time, 5 minutes should do.
